This week was unusual because today was Election Day for Guatemala. So instead of going to San Antonio Aguas Calientes for ministry, Monday we had ATL (Ask The Lord) in the mall and Tuesday we had prayer room in the morning and soccer in the afternoon. Wednesday we got to be with the other part of our team and visit their ministry. We prepped and served breakfast to people on the streets in Sumpango, then grabbed some mangonadas and also played soccer in the afternoon with another group of kids.
Thursday was activation day in Parramos once again and also worship room :) We had the opportunity to pray for a man on the street pushing a woman in a wheel chair who had her arm in a sling and most of her leg was also wrapped up - she had said she’d fallen while buying tortillas in the street. At worship room there was a missionary who had been working in the Middle East who came and taught us about Salt and Light. The presence of God was shining though the room as it was raining very much and the power kept coming in and out. I think it helped us grasp a good understanding of the concept she was trying to teach us lol.
Friday we played soccer all day as usual but this day we met a new friend who is a wonderful coach for the kids as they prepare for their competition games coming on the 8th of July. Saturday we spent most of the day in Antigua and then in the night there was an obstacle course and walking tacos to follow! Sunday I went to church with our team leader in Parramos and the rest of the day was pretty chill. Also today the water was not working most of the day so we are truly coming to undterstand what it means to rely on the Lord with everything you do.
I am excited to be back to our more normal schedule this next week and especially for house visits !!
This week I would just ask for prayer for health for the entire team as most of us have dealt with and/or are dealing with sickness - my blood sugars have not been the best this week but they are getting better.
I will update with more next week, thank you so much for everything!!
